PPO失掉的结果是TRPO(trust region policy optimization)的近似解。 TRPO要求解一个constrained optimization（KL divergence要小于某个值），PPO则将constraints直接放在objective里。 在TRPO里，这个optimization是用conjugate gradient近似解的，要求求KL divergence这个constraint的二次导，因此疑问很大的时刻会很费资源。 而PPO则只要求一次性导的信息，因此大大浪费了资源，可以运行于规模更大的疑问（当然要求参与一些细节让得出的结果不会和TRPO差太多）。 Deepmind最近的一篇文章Emergence of Locomotion Behaviours in Rich Environments就用到了PPO来处置大规模疑问（他们参与了散布式计算的元素，管新算法叫Distributed PPO(DPPO)）.如今openai曾经把PPO当成自动算法，deepmind在最近的几篇文章也用到了它，因此我觉得有什么深度强化学习的疑问，那就大胆地经常使用这个算法吧。
